American Muslim Community Organization (AMCO) Sunday School
Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) said, “Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah (SWT) will make easy for him a path to Paradise.” - (Sahih Muslim 2699)
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Welcome to AMCO Sunday School where your Islamic educational journey begins! Every journey begins with a first step, and there is nothing more blessed than when you leave your home with the intention of seeking or spreading knowledge to earn the pleasure of Allah (SWT). When a person seeks out or spreads knowledge in the form of going to a teacher, attending a class, being in a large gathering or traveling to another country, the inhabitants of the Heavens (angels) and Earth (fish in the sea, trees, birds and animals) seek forgiveness for that person.
The aim of AMCO Sunday School is to provide the community with exceptional Islamic knowledge from Pre-K to 12th Grade. The school focuses on subjects such as Qur'an, Tafseer, Qur’anic Grammar, Islamic Studies, Seerah & History, and more! With experienced teachers and staff, we hope to impart the highest quality education to our students to impact them for years to come.
Please note, students must arrive at school at 9:45 a.m., first class begins at 10:00 a.m. and pick-up time for all students is at 1:45 p.m. Please notify Administration by 10:00 a.m. for absences at (224) 858-4241 or by e-mail, administration@amco-school.org if your child(ren) are to be absent. Administration will call parents for no show after 10:40 a.m. We would appreciate minimizing absences and tardiness as all of our teachers and volunteers take time from their personal schedule to prepare lesson plans, tests and quizzes in order to facilitate the love of learning the Deen.
Note: Registration is not guaranteed. If we have reached capacity, AMCO will send you an email letting you know your student(s) have been waitlisted.
